Have you ever wanted to know how professional artists develop their ideas?
“THE PAINTING PROCESS” breaks down every step to improve your understanding of each aspect;
- Using drawing to discover ideas.
- Planning paintings in a way which suits your temperament and keeps you engaged.
- Creating tonal structure.
- Effective colour strategies.
- The dreaded Composition!
- Making changes.
This is an ALL-ABILITIES class. Whether you’re a successful professional or an absolute novice, you will find the course both challenging and inspirational.
Classes are conducted via zoom and will involve Norman showing examples and pre-recorded videos from his own and others’ work. A live critique of students’ work is also a valuable learning tool. You will be invited to join the private Facebook group to share your work and receive comments / feedback from fellow students and the tutor. Alternatively, you can email images to the tutor for feedback.
Full Course cost for over 3 months online tuition plus feedback. £300.

CLASS DATES
Please note that classes are NOT every week. The intervals are to give you time to make your own explorations and incorporate some of the ideas presented in class into your own painting practice.
MONDAYS 6.30pm – 8.30pm BST (British Summer Time)
You will be sent a link to join the zoom session prior to the class.
Classes will be recorded so that you can revisit or catch up at your own pace. A link to the recorded session will be sent the day after the class.
